Technology Overview

Technology In The Classroom

Seven Hills Charter Public School has continued its integration of technology in the classroom. Teachers and students have access to an array of tools. These tools are geared toward teachers and students to better enable understanding, efficiency and productivity of curriculum. The technology at SHCPS gives students real life experience in technology applications.

Computers In The Classroom

At Seven Hills Charter Public School every classroom is equipped with computers. The number of desktop computers in every classroom ranges from two to six. They contain real world corporate applications such as Microsoft Office which includes Word for word processing, Excel for spreadsheets, Power point for presentations, Publisher for attractive brochures and other documents, and Access for databases. All computers have internet access for student research and more.

Mobile Labs

Seven Hills Charter Public School has created a seamless environment for teaching curriculum that integrates technology. Our mobile labs roll into classrooms with one laptop for every student. These laptops are equipped with wireless Internet capability for easy access to our school network and the Internet. The labs provide mobility and effortless integration of technology into curriculum.

Smart Boards

A number of classrooms will be equipped with Smart Boards. These Smart Boards enable teachers to create dynamite lesson plans with software applications from a laptop. Images, text, movies, and more can be projected onto the screen with which both teachers and students can then interact.

Interactive Learning

Seven Hills Charter Public School has integrated many tools in a effort to create a dynamite learning environment. One such tool is called Qwizdom. Qwizdom engages students with interactive lessons that include remotes and educational gaming. From one child to a whole class can take part. Pop quizzes, gaming, lesson redirecting and much more is offered. This is just one of many tools that are employed as part of SHCPS's technology integration program.

Technology At Home

Technology at Home offers parents and students the ability to access an array of documents and information. Both parents and students can gain access to progress reports, assignments, report card grades, activities, school calendar and much more. Students that don't have a computer at home can be assigned a school computer. Now there is no reason for parents not to stay informed. This is only the start of a great experience.
